This project aims at enhancing access to safe drinking water in Bayamo city through the rehabilitation and expansion of water supply and treatment infrastructure and distribution networks, benefiting more than 70,000 people. The project will bring about other positive social benefits since water supply systems and improved environmental conditions have the potential to attract more investments and strengthen local economic activities. The improved infrastructure is also expected to have a favorable impact on the tourism sector.
