The aim of this project was twofold: to implement flood protection measures along the Bakra River and to rehabilitate the Chanda-Mohana Irrigation System. The former was realized by strengthening spurs and embankments and carrying out bio-engineering works using trees and grass. The latter involved the construction of a replacement concrete and steel weir and the rehabilitation of a number of canals.
