OFID co-financed this project with the IFC and a consortium of European DFIs including Proparco, FMO, BIO and EAIF. Azito Energie added a 139 MW steam cycle capacity to its existing natural gas-fired open cycle plant, converting it to a combined cycle operation. The project helped enhance the efficiency of the plant by generating 50% more power without the use of additional gas.
