Save the Children UK was established in 1921, and its Jerusalem-based Office for the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) was established in 2004. Save the Children's mission is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and to achieve lasting change in their lives. The grant has been extended to support a project which promotes quality teaching and learning in Palestinian Schools, through improved access to safe, inclusive and high quality basic educational services for the most vulnerable children in the OPT. The project is to be implemented in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
