Riwaq - Centre for Architectural Conservation, is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in June 1991, with the aim to protect Palestinian cultural heritage. Between 1994 and 2007, Riwaq carried out one of the most comprehensive architectural surveys ever done in the history of Palestine. The grant has been extended to support the rehabilitation of the Old Centre of Mazare Al Nobani. The rehabilitation and conservation of the historic centers improved the living standards of the local population through employment creation from economic and tourism activities and contribute to overall social economic development of the region.
