The Balsam Rehabilitation Society (BRS) was established in 2002, as a non-profit, non-government community based organization, concerned with the rehabilitation of handicapped and persons with special needs as well as capacity development of women and children. The grant has been extended to support needy disabled and slow learning children in Gaza. The project improved the level of academic achievement for people in learning disabilities in the targeted areas through the provision of new additional class rooms, basic education supplies, and Braille devices.
