The Palestinian Child Support Society (PCSS) was established in 2000 as a non-political Palestinian benevolent society that aims to reduce hardship of economical conditions in the Middle part of Gaza Strip. The Society is active, especially at the refugees' camps and marginalized areas and focuses on the improvement of the role of women in the local community, strengthens the child's personality and helps disabled children and support their families. The grant was extended to support financing "The Outreach Clinic for Speech Therapy" to 1,500 - 2,000 children between 5 - 12 years old in various parts of the Gaza Strip with focus on rural areas and primary schools. The project covered the procurement of medical equipment, capacity building for speech therapist assistants and psychological counselling, data processing, case evaluation, analysis and reporting.
