ACMD is a non-profit Palestinian organization, which was established in 2000 by a group of intellectuals. It designs and implements sustainable socio-economic development programs in cooperation with local, Arab and international relevant media centers and media organizations. The grant was extended to support Energy Supply for the Bedouin Area in Southern Hebron Mountains. These areas are 30 km south of Hebron and threatened with confiscation by Occupation Authorities. This project provided wind energy system hybrid with an electric solar system to the existing farmers and shepherds. It also introduced basic water supply infrastructure for irrigation and safe drinking water. The project benefited 15 areas to become 15 small villages with some 920 inhabitants connected with short distances. Each village has one system.
