The Palestinian Welfare House (PWH) was established in 2006 in Gaza Strip. The core focus of PWH's operations is improving children and youth socio-economic welfare. In recent years PWH have also assisted livestock farmers and provide agriculture logistical tools in North Gaza. It has also developed computer labs in primary schools, conducted income generation skills training for women, and helped provide emergency assistance in the forms of food and medical kits. OFID's grant will contriubute to a project on school kit distribution for needy students in Gaza. This project aims to help around 220 Palestinian students to gain knowledge and science in order to continue their education by reducing the financial burden and other difficulties of education for their families. The project cost is estimated at US$84,000.
