Established in 2001 in Gaza as a non-profit relief and development NGO, PADR has been active in the area of relief and development projects serving poorer families in the Gaza Strip. In the last two years PADR established with funding provided by UNDP, Arab Fund and OFID in the total amount of US$2,050,000 some 106 community projects in the areas of health emergency support, poor families care, food basket, family emergency support and school bag. Furthermore, PADR was involved in a support program for child and mother health, development of youth leadership capabilities and finally the construction of the PADR complex for culture and social rehabilitation in Gaza. The grant was extended to support the project on "Developing and building 200 university graduates skills and self income generating projects" and was used for special training on accounting and budgeting, marketing strategies, small projects initiation and management, as well as to equip PADR computer lab with needed equipments.
