Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) was launched in 1984 in the U.K with the mission to provide emergency relief and medical assistance to Palestinians in desperate need of help as a result of the Israeli invasion and the civil war in Lebanon. OFID assisted the project "Ensuring Safe Delivery in the Gaza Strip: Protecting Maternal and Newborn Health" with a total budget of US$553,000. The project iproved the standards of care in particular reinforce a continuum of care for pregnant women, newly delivered mothers, newborns and infants in the oPt and the refugee camps.
