Balsam Hospital, was founded in 1998 and is located north of the Gaza Strip. In 2002 the hospital was successfully completed and today consists of a ground floor and two upper floors and cellar, 300 employees are working as doctors, nurses, etc. With the help of OFID Balsam Hospital ensured the provision of medical service for about 250,000 people living in the North Province as well as purchased equipment for the Internal medicine department. The total budget was estimated at US$200,000. The direct beneficiaries are the patients suffering from internal diseases numbering about 3,500 patients per month.
