AGAS is a non-profit organization established in 2001, in Rafah, Gaza. AGAS focuses on agriculture aiming at improving the living conditions of farmers through the creation of jobs and reducing unemployment rates among farmers. The grant supported its project "Greenhouses Renovation and Seedling Planting in Rafah City" including the provision of 180,000 square meters of land with irrigation networks and seedlings to the farmers in Rafah; renovation of 150 greenhouses; construction of plastic sheets; creation of 240 job opportunities for poor families; provision of workshops and training courses to some 240 farmers.
