Afaq Jadeeda Association was established in Gaza in 2000 focusing on children's comprehensive growth (physically, mentally and intellectually). It aims at building a healthy, innovative and cooperative youth generation with the objective to secure a creative environment for kids and teenagers. The grant has been extended to support a project on special rehabilitation and training programs for mothers in dealing with their children's psychological traumas. The project involves the organisation of 120 art and cultural performances. Around 20 performances will take place every month, for a period of six months. In addition, twelve training and skill courses for women with psychologists will be arranged in order to observe the children's behaviour and to provide diagnoses and treatment.
