Sharek Youth Forum was launched as an initiative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) under the Program of Assistance to the Palestinian People (UNDP/PAPP) in 1996. The grant covered the youth initiative "Be the Change" with the main objective of promoting youth self-esteem; developed interpersonal and social skills; and established positive mechanisms for coping with stressful situations.
