In June 2010, the Coordination Group members suggested that the WB and the UNDP cooperate in devising a joint plan on the development of an ADP working model. Both the UNDP and WB welcomed the suggestion, and agreed on the modalities of the partnership to develop and implement the Portal, which is to be owned by the Coordination Group. In May 2011, the UNDP and WB submitted the final Joint Project Plan for the development of Phase One of the Arab Development Portal. The Joint Project Plan defines the deliverables, the roles and responsibilities of each the UNDP and WB, as well as presents the costs associated with the development of the Phase One of the ADP. The Arab Development Portal is a data warehouse and knowledge platform that offers timely and high quality data and knowledge on key development topics in the Arab region. ADP is a bilingual one-stop-shop that is home to a unique and dynamic database. It leverages data visualization to make information more meaningful, digestible and user friendly, offering advanced tools for data browsing, data extraction and data visualization. It also hosts a rich pool of resources such as publications, blogs, news and events.
