The Aleppo Water Supply Project's objectives are to extend the water source and transmission facilities in order to meet an increasing demand for water in the city of Aleppo. It will also provide for technical assistance designed to improve project implementation and operational capacity of the EPEA.
The project includes a 75 km aqueduct and pumping mains which will deliver 220,000 m³/d, 110,000 m³/d of water, respectively; pumping facilities at Lake Assad; service reservoirs; and distribution mains to serve the high level area of the city inhabited by the urban poor and target for future growth.
