This project will construct a new water supply and distribution system in the Akkar region of northern Lebanon. A 55 km-long transmission line will be built between the Beit Mellat reservoir in the mountains and the fertile Bebnin coastal plain. A distribution network comprising 17 smaller reservoirs and 100 km of pipeline will be installed to deliver water to some 83,000 people in 31 villages.
