The total cost of the program was US$698,000. It covered the provision of agricultural assistance including cereal, vegetable seeds, equipment and training for 9,440 families in rural districts within the Nampula Province. The beneficiary families are displaced by civil war and affected by droughts. The program aimed at reducing their nutritional vulnerability, lessen their dependence on food relief assistance and provide basic training to farmers in simple vegetable production and storage techniques.
