The grant has been extended to WHO in response to the recent Ebola virus disease outbreak in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea, and as a gesture of empathy with the affected population. The grant is being channeled through WHO to support the activities of its Sub-regional Coordination Centre in Conakry, which was established for the purpose of Addressing Ebola Virus Disease Oubreak in West Africa.
