The Addis Ababa International Airport serves as a major hub for East Africa. Originally built in 1962, the facility has been undergoing an upgrading program since 1997 to enable it to accommodate increased passenger and cargo traffic. This project will carry out the following works:
- completion of a 40,000 m2 international passenger terminal and adjacent aircraft parking apron;
- installation of all services and facilities; and
- installation of a modern baggage handling system.
