This project was part of the strategic women's empowerment programme which aimed at promoting equal realization of dignity and human rights for girls, women, as well as boys and men, and the elimination of poverty and injustice. The project was implemented as part of CARE's 'Women Empowerment and Equity and Justice' programme in Southern Nepal, lowland area, which aims at enabling women and girls from the lowest strata such as the Dalit, the poor, the vulnerable and the socially excluded to enjoy their civic, political, social, economic and cultural rights, and lead a dignified life.
