The grant has been extended to the International Dryland Development Commission (IDDC) in support of its 9th International Conference on Sustainable Dry Lands, which was held in November 08 in Alexandria, Egypt aiming to provide an opportunity to examine the impact of global climate change on the natural resources and agricultural productivity of the dry area ecosystems and exchange information on possible ways to enhance the resilience of these systems through adaptation and mitigation strategies.
