Statement on the earthquake in Morocco

The following statement was issued, today, by the Director-General of the OPEC Fund for International Development – Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa:

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life, displacement of people and destruction caused by the recent earthquake in Morocco. My colleagues and I extend our condolences to the families of the victims and to the people and Government of Morocco. The OPEC Fund stands in solidarity with Morocco during this difficult time."
