The grant was extended to support the laboratory and field equipment components of the Wind Erosion and Sand Transport Laboratory, to be established at the University of Khartoum in the Republic of Sudan. The total cost of the project is US$300,000, cofinanced by CIDA, UNEP and TWAS.
