This project aims at improving rural workers’ access to skills development opportunities, thereby reducing rural poverty in three selected governorates.Activities will include, among others:
- construction or rehabilitation of educational centers/classrooms
- enrolment of around 9,000 children between the ages of 9-15 years in classes that will enable them to complete the equivalent of a primary school education
- establishment of a youth vocational literacy component that will target some 4,000 unemployed youth and provision of financial and business counseling
- provision of training to 4000 women in the areas of literacy proficiency, vocational training and business skills development
- implementation of microfinance schemes.
