Founded in 1992, Visión Finanzas offers a wide

range of services and products, including credit

for individuals and small and micro-enterprises.

The funding from OFID will form part of an

expansion program that is being co-financed with

deposits and lines of credit from other development

finance institutions. The on-lending to be

undertaken will assist in the expansion of private

sector development as well as employment generation

and general economic growth. Given the

size of loans and the operational focus of Visión

Finanzas, activities will focus on lending to the

micro and small business sector. This sector is

regarded as holding the greatest potential for

overall economic development and sustained

poverty reduction.
