The grant was extended to the African Regional Center for Engineering Design and Manufacturing (ARCEDEM) to cover the attendance of 25 technicians from Anglophone African countries at a training course scheduled to be held during the period March 15-28, 2000. This course helped endow technicians with the skills and knowledge to maintain bore-holes and wells and consequently increase their utility and life span.
