The Ministry of Health of Burkina Faso submitted to the OPEC Fund a proposal for the “Establishment of a Training Centre at the National Laboratory of Public Health in Burkina Faso”, with an overall objective of constructing and equipping a training centre in order to improve the competence of laboratory personnel in the field of food, drugs, water and pesticide quality control as well as in the field of monitoring epidemiologic diseases. The Centre is now serving the national and regional needs.
