This project aims at improving connectivity between the districts of Gaibandha and Kurigram, where poverty-levels are high. This will enable communities to reach social amenities and have an improved link to the capital Dhaka. Works will include construction of a 1.5 km bridge, renovation of access roads and installation of drainage works to prevent flooding. On completion, the new and upgraded infrastructure will reduce travel distances by 80km and facilitate cost-effective transportation of people and agricultural goods
