The project would provide a preparatory study to explore petroleum potentially in the Papua Basin in the south of Papua New Guinea. This would include: (i) a geological/geophysical assessment consisting of a detailed review of the four main sedimentary basin in PNG; (ii) the strengthening of geological survey; (iii) to provide promotional trips overseas and training of PNG nationals in the field of petroleum development.
