This project implemented nine short-term Water Operators' Partnerships (WOPs) as a platform for peer support arrangements between water and sanitation operators in the areas of Non-Revenue Water Reduction, Service to the Poor, and Sanitation Connections. The following activities have been undertaken through this project: 1. Matchmaking between different water operators (recipient and mentor), and benchmarking their performance level. 2. Development of Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) Manual. 3. Training of staff teams from all 14 operators involved in the project (5 mentors and 9 mentees) on PIP development in a 2-day workshop in Barcelona that took place prior to the 2nd Global WOPs Congress in November 2013. 4. WOPs Preparation and Planning, then WOPs Activities; including Diagnostic Visits/Workshops by mentoring operator staff to the mentee utility to organize a participatory diagnostic workshop; Good Practice Exposure Missions for selected teams from the mentee utilities went for good practices exposure and training missions to their respective mentors; in addition to Follow-up and Training Missions. 5. WOPs Wrap-up and Closing Workshop in Barcelona.
