In order to boost agricultural production and domestic water supplies, some 80,000 ha of degraded farmland and 140,000 ha of forest land will be reclaimed and rehabilitated, 3,700 ha of rocky land cleared and planted with trees, and irrigation systems repaired and upgraded. Also included will be the installation of wells, boreholes, pumps and standpipes.
