The grant supported a study on refugee protection and development, which aimed to better understand the available policy options and initiatives currently addressing the topic of regional protection and development and to systematically assess viable policy options for development approaches in the context of regional protection programmes and initiatives. The research work was undertaken as planned, and the study was published. It outlined the main issues addressed and made policy recommendations for applying a development-displacement nexus approach.
