Study on The World Trade Organization and Developing Countries

The grant financed the cost of a study that highlights, analyzes and discusses fundamental features of the World Trade Organization (WTO) that directly affect OPEC member states and other developing countries. The grant was specifically to cover honoraria, travel and communication expenses of the author responsible for undertaking the study, as well as the costs of printing the study. The study has been conducted satisfactorily and printed. The publication was released in February 1999. The World Bank has conducted an ITF meeting followed by assessment, which indicated the feasibility of ITF proposal concerning the price insurance with the ultimate objective of conducting actual transactions when authorized by concerned parties.
