The project focused on strengthening life-saving measures and revitalizing care services for children and mothers leading to the improvement of the health and nutrition status of women and children in 750 communities in Tajikistan. The grant’s proceeds contributed to the provision of essential drugs, basic medical equipment and supplies and to capacity-building among health workers through the provision of training courses. Support to the Ministry of Health in the implementation of basic national health programs has also been provided.
