This grant has been extended to the Austrian Development Agency to support the second phase of the Southern African Solar Thermal Training and Demonstration Initiative. The objectives of this project are the installation of 50 large solar thermal systems for demonstration purposes in order to establish a renewable energy supply system that will minimize any shortages of power in the beneficiary countries and the creation of Solar Thermal Technology Platforms.
