This project will help finance some 21 sub-projects created by FONAPAZ, a national fund established to expedite the reconstruction of damaged communities and improve the standards of living for some 3.4 million people, the majority of whom live in poverty. Sub-projects will comprise: construction of primary schools; provision of medical equipment; building of water supply systems, sewage treatment plants and rural roads; development of small-scale community irrigation systems.
