Second Education Project

Djibouti

The project works included:

• construction of three primary schools in towns; six primary schools in rural areas; and, one lower secondary school in Balbala (1200 students);
• renovation and extension of a lycee for 1800 students;
• reconstruction of an annex of a Training Center for National Education Personnel;
• establishment of a maintenance workshop for didactic equipment;
• extension of a mother and child center;
• financing of studies for architectural design and supervision of civil works;
• provision of furniture and equipment for all infrastructure; and
• provision of technical assistance and training.
