This project will enhance access to social amenities and marketplaces for around 56,000 people by upgrading a 14 km road that passes through key agricultural areas. Outcomes of the project include:
- generating employment opportunities in the short term
- lowering the costs of transportation of people and goods
- improving access to education, health and other social services
- contributing towards technology transfer and building of technical skills
- promoting a sense of community and ownership of the roads
- reducing road accidents
