The project involves mini-hydropower development. It is primarily designed to assist the Government in attaining its objectives of achieving nationwide electrification by 1987, rehabilitating the distribution systems, and benefitting the rural poor. The project will also be instrument in evaluating NEA's dendrothermal power generation program.
