The project will carry out the following: rehabilitation of an 80-km stretch of the Dushanbe- Khulyab road; rehabilitation of 150 kilometers of local roads in the Khatlon region; repair of bridges and embankments; construction of avalanches and landslide protection structures built; installation of drainage systems; repair and gravel surfacing of rural roads; realignment of roadbeds; installation fo drainage structures. The rehabilitated roads will benefit the region’s 2.1 million people by facilitating the movement of agricultural goods and provide better access to markets and social services.
