The project is part of a broader Government program aimed at rehabilitating and equipping healthcare centers across all governorates of Congo DR. Works will be carried out in the heavily-populated provinces of Kinshasa and Bandundu, areas with high poverty levels, and will include:

  • construction and equipping of 26 health units, five health centers and ten health administration centers; and
  • provision of basic medical supplies to insure the facilities are immediately operational after their completion.
Having access to quality medical services will improve the general health conditions in the two provinces, which in turn will help boost productivity and reduce poverty.
