The project aims at developing the vocational, pre-vocational and technical education system, and at strengthening the country's capabilities for meeting trained manpower requirements. It consists of the following components:
- renovation of facilities at one Technical and Vocational Institute and one Art Institute;
- construction of a multipurpose training center at La Fortune in St. Patrick Parish;
- acquisition of furniture and equipment for the above facilities;
- establishment of a fellowship training program in the Caribbean Region for about 16 vocational instructors; and,
- provision of supplies for use in the above facilities.
