Regional Vocational and Technical Training Project

Saint Vincent

The project aims at developing the vocational, pre-vocational and technical education system, and at strengthening the country's capabilities for meeting trained manpower requirements. It consists of the following components: renovation of training facilities in one technical college, one girls' business school and home economic center; construction of two multipurpose training centers; acquisition of furniture and equipment, including spare parts for the above facilities; a program of fellowship training in the Caribbean Region for about 12 vocational instructors, five vocational/technical educational supervisors, and two equipment maintenance technicians; and, provision of consumable supplies for use in the above facilities.
