The grant was extended to the Dolores Bedoya de Molina Foundation to boost social productivity, literacy and alleviate poverty among Guatemala’s rural poor. The project concentrated on 20 farming communities in the central department of Alta Verapaz, offering literacy programs, training and credit to help recipients set up small productive enterprises.
