The project will carry out the following works, which will secure an annual volume of seven million m3 of potable water annually to Chefchaouen, neighboring cities and villages. Works will include construction of the Moulay Bouchta Dam located in El Oued, 15 km from the city of Chefchaouen and of a reservoir with a storage capacity of 12 million m3. In addition addition to providing drinking water, the project will provide irrigation water for the surrounding perimeter of Moulay Bouchta in Tetouan and Chefchaouen Provinces.
