This project aims at developing irrigated agriculture in the Middle-Bani area, where some 50,000 smallholders rely on the Bani river for water. A dam, capable of supplying irrigation for over 20,300 ha of farmland, will be constructed, helping increase foodcrop production and boost the standard of living for the region’s inhabitants.
