Established in 1998, and one of the first private sector projects approved by OFID, Mauritania Leasing provides a range of leasing products to the small and medium-size business sector in Mauritania. The line of credit will provide Mauritania Leasing with fresh resources to enable it to diversify its business into property leasing. Given the growth of the Mauritanian economy in recent years, a high demand is forecast for new office and industrial buildings. The financing will allow businesses to expand their commercial, administrative and operating facilities, thereby contributing to overall economic growth and development.
