This project will enhance food production and food security and develop irrigated agriculture in 32 districts in Northern Senegal. Works will include:
- reclamation of some 800 ha of depleted farmland;
- installation of pumping stations, dikes and drainage canals;
- construction of roads;
- digging of boreholes and wells; and
- provision of short-term credit facilities to small farmers.
